nutpods is Hiring a Regulatory Specialist Near Bellevue, WA

We are currently working on a hybrid schedule with a minimum of two days per week onsite. This is subject to change in the future. OVERVIEW: The Regulatory Specialist will have responsibilities which include the research of and adherence to FDA labelling and compliance laws. The person hired into this role will take an integral role in establishing new policies and procedures for a quickly expanding company alongside management of specifications. The role will require cooperation and collaboration with members of the Marketing, Research and Development (R&D), and Supply Chain teams to successfully manage the continuous improvement to quality programs and daily work.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain accurate, operational, and functional quality databases related to product specifications and regulatory Information, including label management
Support development and commercialization of new products related to marketing label claims
Complete research and stay up to date on regulatory laws and standards
Support packaging quality control and management
Review and approve finished product Certificates of Analysis for risk and accuracy
Review Sales Customer and Consumer facing content for accuracy and legality: including handouts, presentations, online retail listings and social media posts, among other items
Write standard operating procedures and policies regarding Food and Drug Administration compliance
Manage relevant Quality Assurance (QA) programs as assigned
Review and proofread labels and artwork to ensure accuracy and compliance
Create Ingredient statements and calculations for NFPs
Manage 3rd party certifications for products
Approve and maintain various product specifications
Coordinate and track all QA related trainings and materials for the company
Lead trainings on regulatory related materials and programs
Manage document and version control for operations related documents and programs
Support other members of the QA department as needed and/or during PTO, Including occasional lab testing or product evaluations
Two days per week will be onsite. One of those days will be supporting lab testing, one day will be the team office day.
Requirements
1-3 total years’ experience working in quality, food safety or R&D with a food or beverage company
Bachelor’s degree in a life science (preferably food science or dietetics) or equivalent total work experience including extensive experience using Microsoft Excel and Word, not including the work experience required above
Recent knowledge of FDA food related regulations, Including the Food Code, CGMPs, and Food Labelling.
Professional, clear communicator
Capable of switching gears quickly to accommodate needs of a fast growing company
Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Green Grass Foods does not intend to sponsor work visas with respect to this position.
Team player, able to share workspace and collaborate successfully
Action-oriented, results-focused individual with can-do attitude
Ability to self-prioritize and work independently, with high attention to detail
Benefits
Base salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
